Content: The Handbook of International Associations in Higher Education contains portraits of 100 non-governmental, membership-based networks in higher education. It is divided into geographical parts, listing European, Asian, African, etc. associations, as well as their global counterparts. The reader will find detailed information on three types of networks: First, groupings of universities and other higher education institutions themselves (e.g. the Coimbra Group, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities, the World Cities University Network, to name a few). Second, networks of individuals belonging to these institutions, e.g. academics, administrators, students (EAIE is among this group). The third type are European, Asian, ..., or global "umbrellas" of national academic associations (i.e. associations of associations).
